Edit: Obviously I wrote this in November 2019. But I just randomly decide to publish it in 2021. Good thing I don't do this for a living lol.

It's been quite a while. It's funny how each year when I look back I feel like a totally different person from last year, but I never feel im different today than yesterday. Like the progress is so little day by day its virtually not there but it all adds up and make a new you.
This is in the event of me about to turn 21, which is a big deal in the US because you're allowed by the laws to drink (like you dont just need your parents' permission to drink, you need the fricking laws to permit you as well lol). Just some things I thought about. Let's make a list because I love lists.
1. College grades don't matter that much.
Like no one cries when they receive bad grades like back in high school, literally no one. Not that I don't care about grades at all, I always try my best to keep it up as high as possible, because I also believe if you do something, whatever it is you have to give it everything you've got, or just don't do it at all. But it's not the end of the world if I have a B, or even fail a class. It's OK, deal with it, and do whatever you need to to fix that. You have bad grades, so what? The world still keeps spinning, people live, people die, regardless of what grades you get. Obviously there is still a soft cut-off that you need to meet to reach your end goal, but no one should spend the energy obsessing over it.
2. I change my mind.
About a lot of things. Not like in flaky way, but like things that I was so sure about, I swore that I would never believe otherwise, they can all change one day. And I don't think these are bad changes. These are educated reformulated opnions (?!). So just always keep an open mind, because chances are as you get older you will keep changing your mind about a lot of other things.
3. Life is the last thing you can plan
I mean the general idea of your plan still holds, like if I wanna be an engineer I don't suddenly just end up a drug dealer. But there are things no matter how much you plan life never plays out that way. So know that you will never plan to win a lottery but maybe you will lol.
4. People are complex
I mean like people are not just their job or their color or what they let displayed. Everyone has that hidden facade that you might never get to see. They might have a story, a reason, so never be too quick to judge. You almost always will be wrong.
5. Life is stressful, so find your therapy
Maybe not actually going to therapy cuz that will cause you the financial stress that wasn't there in the first place. Find free therapy, and that doesn't always mean your friends, but the things that gets you so involved that you forget about time.
6. If shopping is your only therapy, no amount of money will ever make you happy
Or maybe I'm just a broke college student...
